Just thought I'd let anyone who still cares that I'm alive and back on Deviant Art! =D Sorry for the long absence!
Was way too busy with school, cars, and other crap. Having no camera did not help either.
But I could not stay away, so I bought myself a Canon XSi the other day. Hopefully I can take some decent photos.
I'm in law school now and renting an apartment near NYC, so public transportation is the answer for me =/ ; w/e spare time I have now will be directed at my photography hobby and not cars, it seems! =P

Working with the stock 18-55mm IS lens right now, but I got a good quality wide angle attachment for it, as well as macro (two piece set with the wide angle). Also decided to give the fish-eye lens a try, so I purchased a Zenitar M 2.8/16 Fish-Eye lens. Fraction of a cost of the Canon, or even Tamron alternatives and it still delivers amazing results. All manual, but it is not very difficult to work with at all. So expect some line bending photos soon! =D

Spread The Love. *UPDATED 7 down*

***Hello everyonez!!! I finally sat down and decided to resume this list! It's been way too long and I'm sorry I didn't finish it sooner, but you'll get your praise, let it be sooner or later... haha Hopefully whoever made this list and put up the same thing in their journals were more dilligent than me and got this done in a reasonable amount of time... haha :P I kind of took a break from dA for a bit with school, work, and other stuff keeping me busy, but I'll def. make an effort to frequent here more often! Yay! ;P ;D

******BTW, this is going to be the best, and the most massive journal eva!!! :D

From :iconladysilverwood: to me to you:

The first ten people to comment get loaded with praise. That's right, I will post your name, say what I admire about your art, and link the adoring public to some of my favorite pieces. How can this not be a good thing!

But you must, of course, post this in YOUR journal as well.

Alrighty, let's see some commenting!

1. :iconeviljekyll: While you’re all toiling away in your Photoshop 7s CS2s and etc, this guy is producing awesome work using the good old MSPaint! That, my people, requires dedication. ;P His gallery is filled with great looking patterns, wallpapers, and some random witty deviations as well, which is great.
For example this quite entertaining pic: :D

And one of my favorite patterns in his gallery:

All done in MSPaint! If you like working in MSPaint you should also visit his site: [link] .

2. :icontrevortws: There are tons of great photos coming from this guy. His works are often colorful, and action packed. He’s also always on a look out for new stuff to photograph, which means his gallery is pretty varied. One of his older pictures that actually led me to check out the rest of his gallery was a picture of a really unique looking bridge

and he even took a picture of the same bridge in winter

, which is probably even more spectacular looking.
Like I said many great action shots like this one

can be found in his gallery. From something like that he manages to go and take a picture of something as calm, and wonderful as this waterscape shot:

To top it all off he does not lack cutesy shots in his gallery either, like this picture of his cat
:D But, don’t take my word for it go check them out yourself!

3. :iconunknowntoknown: This deviant is a great photographer that conquers large audiences with basically every shot she takes. While she has photographs on different topics her nature photos are the most gorgeous. Her angles, composition, crops, and subject choices are varied and always original. Besides she is also not hesitant to try her skill in either media, beyond photography. Here are some of the works in her gallery that really stand out. A nice romantic composition in B&W

A great and dangerous looking close-up! -->

:D Can’t forget this cuteness of a picture

And a beautiful springtime shot

, one of many flowery shots. ;P And hey, she’s my little sister! :w00t: So do yourself a favor and visit her gallery!

4. :icondontgoout: I don’t know where to start with this very talented lady! I just recently discovered her, and her gallery. And they’re both amazing! Well even, maybe, in a sense… The gallery is her. :D ;P That’s right her photography’s central focus almost 100% (minus one or two pictures) is herself. She is a master at representing different range of emotions, expression, actions, desires, and etc. through her photos. Most of her works are featured in B&W, sepia, and other well selected hues that work great to emphasize this deviant’s control of shadows, lightning and of course her own body in her works. But, enough of that, here are some examples I randomly picked from some of my favorites works in her gallery. I love the darkish blue hue in this picture, the pose, and the hair are also fascinating:

Another great picture containing endless connotations to it

Don’t we all wish we had wings at one point? ;P I told you she’s great when it comes to manipulating light -->

And I could keep on going, but these things are getting longer and longer as it is, so instead don’t linger any longer! Go and visit her gallery!

5. :iconneverendingnightmare: This deviant is not afraid to tackle all kinds of media. However her gallery mostly consists of photos, and pencil sketches at this time. Also if you’re into color pencil work you might want to drop by and check the few of the works that she has done with that. The subjects of her works vary a lot, so you just to go and check it out for yourself, but here are some of the works that I like from her gallery.
For those who are fans of the classic B&W photography. A beautiful composition of a water lily that has a character very unique to itself due to the grayscale color scheme:

An unusual choice for a sketch, but very nicely executed. Human skull, anyone?:

Yet another type of media, and another subject. A simple, but very effective colored pencil sketch. Even with those simple lines and colors it still makes for a very attractive picture:

A very unique image of a girl drawn completely with ink pen. It definitely has it’s own character and style:

This is yet another superb pencil sketch of a … Well… That’s for you to decide whose skull that is!:

So, drop by and let her know, what you think! ;D BTW, she’s my sister, so be nice, or else!!! :D j/k, but seriously… :threaten: haha

6. :iconcolorguardgeek: This lady too has a great diverse gallery. I really enjoy her outdoor photos, which make up a considerable part of her gallery. It seems she’s always on a look out for new photo ops and it shows, because whenever there is a new deviation by her it is almost guaranteed that it’s going to be something unlike what came before. Here are some of those pictures I’m talking about, check them out!
A great nature close-up:

One of my favorite shots in her gallery. It is so full of energy, and playfulness. Plus the colors are amazing:

Another fantastic nature photo of a landscape/waterscape. Again gorgeous colors:

The very first photo that I came across and then took a look at the rest of her gallery; great composition in this one:

And of course, Cattitude, - a picture of a cat with an attitude

And oh yeah… She loves John Lennon, a lot. ;D

7. :iconcombi77: If you look at this deviant’s gallery you’ll clearly notice his works evolve as he grows as an artist; and that means not just subject and technique wise, but also media and possibly even concentration? The beginning of his gallery consists of some very interesting 3D Dimensional works, then later various automobile related deviations, which display his technical, more of a “gear-head” side. I’m glad he doesn’t loose that side of him even as he transitions into photography that involves live models to produce some really spectacular photography. All of his shots are very different and all command your attention in their special way. I had a hard time picking out the works to feature, but here are a few:

That first shot really calls for multiple second looks… lol The colors are amazing, and the way the model is suspended in the air is almost uncanny, - must full view. The second shot also sports some fantastic colors, but the mood of the photo is what makes it so great, it really makes you question what the model is supposed to be thinking. As for that macro shot there; it really caught my attention, I failed to recognize it as a flower at first. At first I thought it’s a fiber optic cable, or something of that sort, but it really is a beautiful macro of a flower and those colors look fantastic on top of that white foreground. I loved “Cornered” due to it’s B&W presentation, the shadows, and excellent composition. As for the last shot it definitely is one of my favorites due to its color scheme, model, and the photo texture. Plus the reason for the photo is very noble too. Great artist check out the rest of his gallery!

This is just a completely random journal, that I decided to write after beholding the awesomeness of the new dA layout, sort of like a fresh everything, ya know? haha Well this thing changed while I was online, so I was like whoaaa... :omg: But, I gotta I say I kinda like many of the new additions and changes, tho it'll take getting used to. The individual deviation view is a bit dorky looking, wayyy too white, hope that gets fixed... And oh yeah, dial up, I feel sorry for you ppl... hah...
